2021 - 22 Membership

What a crazy year 2020 was! Life as we knew it went from easy-going, carefree mobility to a lockdown situation. We were required to stay 6 feet away from each other, wear mask coverings, homeschool our own children, visit our loved ones through windows, miss family or friend gatherings, all in the sake of keeping us safe.
We each have had to deal with running our businesses in ways that worked for us. Closing down for some time. Furloughing employees. Installing barriers and disinfectant stations. Changing store open hours. Limiting services we could offer. Creating online shopping opportunities. Offer curbside service… the list goes on.
As we find our bearings in 2021 and with the availability of vaccines we each are hoping to reconnect with friends, family and customers while still being cognizant that we are not yet out of the woods.
Your Seneca Falls Business Association, though not scheduling meetings, has continued working for your benefit throughout 2020.

2020 Trick or Treat

The SFBA Board of Directors has carefully considered its options for the annual Downtown Trick or Treat Event and, due to the COVID-19 pandemic and the decision by the SF Community Center to not hold an After Party as in previous years, we have chosen to offer some changes to this year’s event.

It has been suggested that we hold the event in People’s Park, where stations can be set up so there will be a single line and one direction of travel.  You are invited to participate or provide treats if you like, which will be distributed at a station assigned to your business either by yourself or a volunteer.

We need your help to decide if and how this year’s Trick or Treat event will be held. Every S.F.B.A. member and local businesses would have received a 2020 Downtown Trick or Treat questionnaire to complete and return to the Downtown Deli or email to senecafallsba@outlook.com by October 14th.

Welcome Autumn

Let’s MOVE ON FROM THIS PANDEMIC and invite our visitors and residents to stroll, browse, and shop locally by displaying a hometown welcome through a fun outdoor autumn theme.

Decorate your windows and outside sidewalk space with pumpkins, hay bales, scarecrows, mums, and whatever else you can find to create a whimsy and fun environment. Incorporating your business specialty would be a really nice touch and show that you have given extra thought to your display.

Your creation should be displayed by October 1 and be left in place until Thanksgiving.

THEN . . . it’s time to put all your effort into Christmas!  Have a great holiday season!
